[edit] Finding the Trail Head
Go west on I-70, south on Evergreen Parkway (Hwy 74), and right onto Lewis Ridge Rd.
[edit] Description
The trail starts in a mountain meadow and winds into beautiful pine and aspen forest. The scenery is notable for is variety. Although the elevation gain is small, the trail goes up and down, nearing the maximum elevation three times.
[edit] Experience
The scenery is among the most spectacular in the area, particularly for an easy hike so close to civilization! Across the meadows the Wild Iris, Chiming Bells, and Senecio were everywhere.
