[edit] Finding the Trail Head
From Golden, take Heritage Road, turn right on US-40, continue on CO-26 (go straight, US-40 turns off along I-70), and turn right into Red Rocks Park at the first entrance. Turn left below the amphitheater and follow the signs to the Trading Post.
[edit] Description
The trail is short and scenic, but surprisingly steep. Also, the first half of the trail is all down, which means the second half is all up on the way back.
[edit] Experience
The red rock formations are exquisite, but shade is sparse and the hike is very hot in the summer.
